ਜੀਵਣ ਮਰਣਾ ਜਾਇ ਕੈ ਏਥੈ ਖਾਜੈ ਕਾਲਿ ॥
Jeevan Maranaa Jaae Kai Eaethhai Khaajai Kaal ||
जीवण मरणा जाइ कै एथै खाजै कालि ॥
Life and death come to all who are born. Everything here gets devoured by Death.
ਜਿਥੈ ਬਹਿ ਸਮਝਾਈਐ ਤਿਥੈ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਚਲਿਓ ਨਾਲਿ ॥
Jithhai Behi Samajhaaeeai Thithhai Koe N Chaliou Naal ||
जिथै बहि समझाईऐ तिथै कोइ न चलिओ नालि ॥
He sits and examines the accounts, there where no one goes along with anyone.
