ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਉਬਰੇ ਅਲਿਪਤੁ ਰਹੇ ਸਰਣਾਇ ॥
Guramath Har Liv Oubarae Alipath Rehae Saranaae ||
गुरमति हरि लिव उबरे अलिपतु रहे सरणाइ ॥
Through the Guru’s Teachings, some embrace love for the Lord, and are saved. They remain detached and unaffected, and they find the Sanctuary of the Lord.
ਓਨੀ ਚਲਣੁ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਹਾਲਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਖਰਚੁ ਲੀਆ ਪਤਿ ਪਾਇ ॥
Ounee Chalan Sadhaa Nihaaliaa Har Kharach Leeaa Path Paae ||
ओनी चलणु सदा निहालिआ हरि खरचु लीआ पति पाइ ॥
They keep death constantly before their eyes; they gather the Provisions of the Lord’s Name, and receive honor.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਮੰਨੀਅਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਲਏ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਇ ॥੨॥
Guramukh Dharageh Manneeahi Har Aap Leae Gal Laae ||2||
गुरमुखि दरगह मंनीअहि हरि आपि लए गलि लाइ ॥२॥
The Gurmukhs are honored in the Court of the Lord. The Lord Himself takes them in His Loving Embrace. ||2||
