ਜਿਤੁ ਦਿਨਿ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਫਿਟੁ ਭਲੇਰੀ ਰੁਤਿ ॥੧॥

नानक सोई दिनसु सुहावड़ा जितु प्रभु आवै चिति ॥
जितु दिनि विसरै पारब्रहमु फिटु भलेरी रुति ॥१॥

O Nanak, that day is beautiful, when God comes to mind. Cursed is that day,
no matter how pleasant the season, when the Supreme Lord God is
forgotten.

ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹੀ ਦਿਨ ਚੰਗਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸੇ, ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿੱਸਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ
ਸਮਾ ਮੰਦਾ ਜਾਣੋਂ, ਉਹ ਸਮਾ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ ॥੧॥

हे नानक! वही दिन अच्छा सोहना है जिस दिन परमात्मा मन में बसे। जिस दिन परमात्मा बिसर
जाता है, वह समय खराब जानो, वह वक्त धिक्कारयोग्य है।1।
